Simile's and Metaphors

Teaching simile's and metaphors can at times be tricky. I know that once the kids are familiar with them they really like them. I've added a practice worksheet to my teachers pay teachers store, this is really great for a quick assessment after the introduction of these two.

I find that relating the simile's and metaphors to music really helps the kids grasp a better understanding. This video is by far the best engagement piece I've seen to introduce them to simile's and metaphors.

    I really liked you video on similes and metaphors. First of all, the "Chariots of Fire" music is always amazing! I loved the way you incorporated lines from music videos to demonstrate similes! Thank you for including Selena Gomez's inane line "I love you like a love song baby" to really illustrate your point.
